Suicide Attack kills at least 8 people in borno by female suicide bomber

AT LEAST eight people were killed and 15 others were wounded when a female suicide bomber detonated her explosives inside a vehicle in the city of Maiduguri in Nigeria's Borno State on 12 October, Al-Jazeera reported. Reports stated that the vehicle was supposed to join a convoy of vehicles that was to be escorted out of the city by security forces. The attacker detonated her explosives before the vehicle joined the convoy. Although there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, Wilayat Gharb Afriqiyya - formerly known as Boko Haram - was likely responsible.
